This camera came to me thanks to my wife - she saw it on Freecycle (a forum where people give things away they no longer want or need, to be used by someone else). We went over to Guildford (about 10 miles away from me) to pick it up. Total cost £nil. Now that's my kind of camera; but I'd never heard of Beauty cameras and I don't think they're exactly a well-known make, so this is my take on these 'unknown' cameras.

			<description>Here's a few shots of my Leica II (Model D), that I bought late in 2007. I'd wanted a Leica for many, many years and I finally got one.



But it was just the body, no lens; for the lens I had to raid my FED-2 camera and Jupiter-26 50mm lens - at least until Feb '08 when I managed to get the funds together for a Red Scale Elmar 5cm f3.5. Since that time, I've loved using the camera and I'd built up an expectation of what it would be like to use a Leica. I wasn't disappointed.
